Introduction to Environmental Arts Therapy: Session 6
This course by Gary Nash, Vanessa Jones and Ian Siddons Heginworth runs from the London Art Therapy Centre at Kings Cross, in the local park and Highgate Woods offering 6 full day workshops across 6 months. Beginning in the studio we will explore practical and ethical boundaries of an outdoor arts psychotherapy practice - discussing the challenges and benefits of moving outdoors for us and our clients. We will look at the ways in which nature and natural cycles can come into the therapeutic space and relationship . The sessions will then move outdoors working in nature and will be informed by the practice of environmental arts therapy.
Through practical and interpersonal experience, it aims to enhance and develop the skills of the student and to introduce them to taking their therapeutic practice outdoors.
This course is for art therapists, psychotherapists, clinical psychologists, educators, counsellors and others who wish to work with nature.
Course fee £600 for 6 sessions, early bird booking fee £560.
