THIS COURSE IS CANCELLED DUE TO COVID19
This 3 hour workshop draws on environmental arts therapy practice and the work of Joanna Macy to introduce participants to an active process of remembrance and shared grief within a group setting. We plan to begin the workshop indoors, within the education space at Lauderdale House. By working together, in circle, participants will be invited to share stories of those they have lost as an individual and collective expression of grief and remembrance. Participants may wish to bring photos of those they wish to remember. Remembrance can include lost species, lost landscapes and environment as well as loved ones, aspects of ourselves or even lost ways of living. We will use natural materials to make individual creative expressions before concluding the workshop with a collective act of gratitude outdoors (weather permitting). This workshop will be led by Vanessa Jones, an experienced art therapist and environmental arts therapist. It is suitable for adults only. No previous experience of art making is needed. Participants will be working with others within a one off event, so may not be suitable for everyone especially if you have experienced a recent or traumatic bereavement. Please contact Vanessa, vanessajonestherapy@gmail.com for further details. Cost £25 ~
